UNIX Systems Engineer Applications Support Solaris Systems Administrator to work for a leading financial software company based in central London. A great opportunity for the right skilled UNIX Engineer or UNIX Systems administrator to join a SME that has rapid expansion plans during the coming 12 months. You shall be a competent UNIX systems engineer capable of turning your hand to a variety of different tasks within a multiplatform environment including but not limited to; UNIX, Solaris, Windows, Linux, Zones, ZFS, Application Support, Shell Scripts, Networking, Security Issues, VPN, Firewalls, Samba, 2nd 3rd line UNIX support including some Windows, escalation, monitoring, managing applications, project work etc Good communication skills for both internal and external customers, with at least 3 years Solaris systems administrator and UNIX support experience. This is a varied, interesting and challenging role where you will have exposure to lots of different technologies playing a key role. You must be a doer striving for excellence in every aspect of your work taking responsibility and using your own initiative within this dynamic environment.
